Assistant Pastry Cook
The assistant pastry cook works under the direct supervision of a head or executive pastry chef. As an assistant pastry chef, you assist in the day-to-day operations of a bakery or pastry kitchen. You collaborate with the head baker on daily tasks and schedules and oversee other pastry chefs or kitchen staff in the absence of the head pastry chef.

Pastry Cook

Head Baker
As leader of a baking operation, head bakers must train and supervise workers. In the kitchen, they make sure the staff uses proper baking techniques. Outside of the kitchen, head bakers maintain employee work schedules; assign daily baking tasks; and make referrals for advancement, discipline, termination and retention.

Executive Pastry Chef
The executive pastry chef oversees the production of pastries, sweets, breads, ice creams, toppings and fillings. He or she is the expert of creation, execution, and presentation of pastries and desserts. The executives are generally hired in higher-end establishments like casinos, hotels, restaurants, resorts, private catering companies, etc.
